Drive braking situations
Refers to the energy from the motor side to the drive side (or the power supply side), then the motor speed above synchronous speed.
Load energy into kinetic energy and potential energy kinetic energy (determined by the speed and weight of its size) with the motion of the object and accumulate. When the kinetic energy is reduced to zero, the things it is in a stopped state.
Mechanical brake method is to use the brake friction and the object is converted to kinetic energy consumed.
For the elevator parts - elevator inverter, if the output frequency is reduced, the motor speed will follow the same frequency decreases. Then will produce braking process generated by the braking power will be returned to the elevator inverter side. The power can be consumed by resistance heating.
In the category for lifting loads in decline, energy (potential energy) should return to the elevator inverter (or power) side of the brake.
This method of operation is referred to as "regenerative braking", and the method can be applied to the drive brake.
During deceleration, the power generated by heat consumption if the method is not consumed, but the energy is returned to the power supply side of the drive method is called "power back regeneration method." In practice, this application needs "energy feedback unit" option.
